Fuse Intelligence (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at http://localhost and desktop applications including VocalFuse. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Our privacy-first approach

VocalFuse is designed for local speech-to-text. Audio captured for dictation is processed on your device using OpenAI Whisper Large via whisper.cpp. We do not upload, store, or analyze your voice recordings on our servers.

When you use Note Taking Mode with email delivery, audio is still processed locally. Only the summarized text you configure the app to send is transmitted via your SMTP settings — not through Rowton servers unless you explicitly choose a Rowton-hosted email service in the future.

2. Information we collect

Account information

  • Name and email address when you register
  • Hashed password (we never store plain-text passwords)
  • Theme and display preferences saved to your account

Subscription & billing

  • Subscription status, plan, and product access
  • Stripe customer and subscription identifiers (payment card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us)

Licensing

  • Product keys assigned to your account
  • License validation requests from VocalFuse (key, product slug, validation result)

Website & support

  • Messages submitted through our contact form (name, email, subject, message)
  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and reliability
  • Session cookies required for login and account functionality

Desktop application

  • Product key and license check status stored locally in app configuration
  • SMTP credentials for Note Taking Mode stored locally on your device
  • Periodic version checks against our database to determine if an app update is available

3. How we use information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our website and applications
  • Authenticate users and enforce subscription and license access
  • Process payments through Stripe
  • Respond to support and contact inquiries
  • Send service-related communications (e.g. subscription confirmations)
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-party services

  • Stripe — payment processing. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting provider — our website and database are hosted on managed infrastructure (e.g. Hostinger).
  • CDN libraries — we load open-source CSS/JS from public CDNs (Bootstrap, jQuery, etc.) when you visit the site.

5. Data retention

We retain account and subscription data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Contact form submissions are retained to handle your inquiry and for legitimate business records.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. billing records).

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Export your data in a portable format

8. Children

Our services are not directed to individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of our services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
